THE TOWNSHIP OF ALNWICK/HALDIMAND
April 15th to the 21st, 2018
is "National Volunteer Week"
The week of April 15 2018 is National Volunteer Week, “a week when we recognize Canadians who improve the lives of others, and build a better Country, one selfless act at a time.”
We are most fortunate here in Alnwick/Haldimand Township, as we have many individuals who volunteer their experience and time to make their community a better place to live. We want to recognize and thank the many volunteers who sit on committees and boards involved with the Township. Your leadership and hard work is much appreciated by Council and Staff.
We also want to recognize the many volunteers involved with national programs who’s primary objective is to assist those in need, as well as, the volunteers involved in sports and other cultural activities, all that contribute positively to daily life in our community.
Volunteers accomplish extraordinary things regularly, often without the recognition they deserve.
On behalf of Council, thank you to all Volunteers who bring us closer together and make Alnwick/Haldimand Township and this Country, a great place to live.
At this time, it is appropriate to mention the Township Civic Awards.
Nominations forms are now available for those who achieved outstanding performance during 2017. Please pick up a form from the township office or from the Municipal Website and nominate a worthy individual.
Awards are presented during Canada Day celebrations, this year on Sunday June 24.
